There's a Spring in my step

We have done it. We have survived winter, not that the rain and miserable weather is showing much signs of leaving yet but we are that one step closer to blue skies and fluffy white clouds. I know it's been a little while since I last posted but my life has been pretty hectic with my first of many presentations and other bits and bobs. But as it's St David's Day today, along with my Mumma's birthday (Birthday shoutout to Mumma Webb) I thought I'd give you a little post as to what I have to look forward to in the next month.
Daffodils. I bought my first lot of daffodils last week after waiting for them to come back into my latest Sainsbury's and for a pound you can't really go wrong. They brighten up my room and will certainly be a constant feature on my bedside table for the coming weeks.
York. I'm heading back up to York again in a few weeks and hopefully they weather will finally start to be a bit nicer so I can go for some walks around the city and enjoy spending some quality time with Jay.
Baby Rumbles. There's a new baby coming soon and I couldn't be more excited. She'll practically be like another little sister and I can't wait to spoil her rotten with kisses and cuddles.
Easter. At the end of this month I shall be heading back to the shire for three weeks before my last hectic month of uni commences. I love being at uni with my girlies but I know my the end of this month I'm going to be tearing my hair out with all my deadlines so it will be a welcomed break.
It's going to be a non-stop month for sure, but hopefully with some nicer weather and more frequent appearances from Mr Sunshine, my motivation will be on a high and it will be a wonderful March!

Roses are red, violets are blue

DSCF5711
Yes, you've guessed it, this one's on the theme of love. Don't worry it won't be a pile of mush, or at least I don't think it will. With the upcoming celebration of St. Valentine on Saturday I thought I would write a little post of appreciation to the wonder that is Jay.
We're not big celebrations of Valentine's Day, but this will be our third, well technically our fourth. Our first we celebrated at the ripe age of 15, on a double date to ASK, cute I know. Then I went ahead and broke his heart 10 months later (what a bitch). But as the saying goes, Sometimes, two people have to fall apart to realise how much they need to fall together. Once this realisation kicked in we spent our second 6000 miles apart, however I did get a beautiful bouquet of flowers delivered to my halls in first year, of which my sister actually believed they had come from Malaysia! Our third was spent in bed with a take-away as Jay was recovering from a hernia operation, yes I became nurse Beth for the week, and let's just say once you've had a flannel bath there's no going back! This year I'm heading back up to York, but with not much planned apart from pancakes, pretty little liars and a treat of a meal out in the evening.
Anywho, the real reason behind this post was not to tell you my life story but to give you an insight as to why my boyfriend is better than yours.
1. He shares his food with me
Yes, you read that right. It took a little while for him to overcome this hurdle but now it's a given that if he brings up a hot cross bun, I will have half of it.

2. He makes the bed
Still needs a little prompting on occasion but we are getting there

3. He always calls me beautiful
Even when I wake up from snoring and dribbling on him with my hair looking like a birds nest

4. He writes me letters
Call us old fashioned but there's a nice feeling about receiving a hand written letter through the door

5. He supports me and keeps me going
Even when I'm having a mental breakdown and he too has 101 problems

6. He sings with me
We are that couple who will duet 'Love is an Open Door

7. He puts up with my hormones
It should be classed as a talent to go from the top of the world to the grumpiest being ever

8. He can't dance
But he still puts 100% into trying

9. He tolerates my nagging
I can seem like his mother at times

10. He looks after me when I'm poorly
And I'm not always the best of patients either

11. He doesn't get too mad at my indecisiveness
Sometimes

14. But most importantly he loves me
Too cheesy?

You may have already guessed too that my love for Disney has rubbed off on him whether he likes it or not, but every situation calls for a Disney situation! To cut a long story short I am very grateful to have Jay in my life like I do, and in true Disney style I believe I've found my happily ever after with my Prince Charming, at least until Prince Harry comes along to sweep me off my feet.

These are a few of my favourite things

10410527_10206096413639502_7003651672843882517_n
So yesterday I had my wonderful family come down to visit me, and the latter part of the visit was spent enjoying Mum's Christmas present, watching The Sound of Music at the Mayflower Theater. I love a good sing song, and musicals are right up my street, so I thought I'd do a blog relating to some of my favourite things. I am going to apologize in advance as this one will contain a list, I know, 'Not another list, this will be the third blog post containing a list'. But my last one didn't! (If you haven't read it yet and you love a bit of Harry Potter then check it out here).
Obviously my favourite things in life are my family, Jay,my friends and so on but that goes without saying, really you want to know about the weird and wonderful things that are my favourite. Well, lets begin. If I had more followers and I was a famous blogger or vlogger then I would have got my fans to ask me some questions, but since that is not the case yet I'll just imagine what I would be asked.
1. What is your favourite colour?Hmmm, I'm one of these people who doesn't have this one main favourite colour, I like to mix it up a little and switch between the two. However I am partial to nice warm, pastel yellow.
2. What is your favourite animal?Lion. As I'm a Leo and have a huge love for the Lion King naturally it has to be a lion. I mean they are the kings of the cat world and live a pretty cool life roaming the plains of Africa.

3. What is your favourite flower?Eurgh, the sound of all the men groaning, such a girly question. Well, it's a question all men should know the answer to as every girl loves flowers. Mine are seasonal, during the summer I adore sunflowers and daisy's, which is handy living next to a sunflower field at home. Other than that I find lillies to be a beautiful flower.
4. What is your favourite ice-cream flavour?Chocolate. Chocolate. Chocolate
5. What is your favourite cereal?Coco Pops, they turn the milk chocolatey.
6. What is your favourite TV Show?Right now I'm two thirds of the way through Gossip Girl and I don't want it to end. I'm also hooked on Pretty Little Liars, I've read the books and it's too late to stop watching it now. When I was younger it was Blue Peter and I was going to grow up to be a Blue Presenter and have two dalmatians. I am however the proud owner of a Blue Peter badge. I wrote them a letter about after seeing Mary Poppins in the West End, told you I like musicals, and two weeks later I received one in the post. Fun fact of the day for you there.

7. What is your favourite restaurant?Turtle Bay. Sweet potato fries and cocktails.
8. What is your favourite smell?Fresh bread, or a cake. Or the grass after it's been mowed. Or seaweed on the beach. Or Yankee Candles, I'd buy them all if I could.
9. What is your favourite Harry Potter movie? There had to be one really didn't there. Number three, The Prisoner of Azkaban.
10. What is your favourite holiday destination?Depends what kind of holiday you're talking about. I mean Disneyland is always going to be at the top of the list, but there are so many other beautiful places both in England and abroad.
So, there you go, 10 of my favourite things. Not quite raindrops on roses or whiskers on kittens, but if you do want to know some more interesting favourites of mine please leave a comment! But for now I'll leave you with Julie Andrews and the Austrian Mountains.
